It’s sure been windy here in Alaska – which leads to a great way to help the AWCC!
As you’re cleaning up your yard after these blustery days, consider gathering up any broken branches (especially those with lichen or leaves attached) to donate to our animals. They make fantastic snacks as well as interesting enrichment for our residents.
We’re looking for donations of birch, willow, and aspen branches.
Donations can be brought to the center during our open hours; just stop by the ticket booth, inform our staff you have a donation to make, and we’ll make sure our creatures get their tasty treats. For folks in the Anchorage area you can email info@alaskawildife.org to discuss pickup options.
