Education

An important part of AWCC’s mission

AWCC’s Education Department provides learning opportunities for visitors and school groups throughout the year.

Our Naturalists facilitate meaningful experiences that deepen understanding and inspire stewardship of the world around us. Public programs offer guests insights into the adaptations of Alaskan wildlife, the conservation efforts by AWCC and beyond, the research conducted through AWCC, and the quality animal care provided at our sanctuary. Our Naturalists lead engaging learning opportunities for students through field trips, outreach programs, after-school activities, virtual programs, and more. By becoming educated about Alaskan wildlife and AWCC, guests may be inspired to further support our mission.
