Education Programs

An important part of AWCC’s mission is education

An important part of AWCC’s mission is education, and we are constantly working to provide engaging learning opportunities for school groups and guests throughout the year. At the AWCC, our expert staff educates hundreds of visitors who enter our gates every day.

Through interactive displays, animal presentations, school visits, and on-site specialty events, we work daily to provide educational opportunities to our visitors about the animals found at the AWCC. We believe it is our duty to provide engaging forms of education to our visitors about our animals, Alaska, conservation, ecology, and more. In conjunction with the Alaska Department of Fish & Game, Bear Trust International, Inspired Classroom, school districts, and universities, the AWCC is highly committed to education, research, and promoting positive movements within ecology and conservation.
