Naturalist – Seasonal: Full time, Summer seasonal, paid @ $16-17/hr. 30-week opportunities starting in March/April and ending in October/November. Under the direction of the Director of Education, the Seasonal Naturalist will lead daily interpretive and educational programs, assist in the care of wildlife at AWCC, especially species in encounter programs, provide coaching to Naturalist Interns, and provide roving interpretation while managing guest behaviors.​ Please click HERE for a full job description or to submit an application. Animal Curator: full-time, year-round. To lead by example, the organization and staff through hard work, dedication, appropriate appearance, and proper work ethics. Supervises the Assistant Curator, Animal Keepers, Animal Care Interns, and Volunteers. Compensation starting at an annual salary of $70,000 (DOE) with free on-site, bunk style housing included for the first 6-months of employment. A variety of benefits are offered to full-time staff, including a 403b plan with a 3% match, 12-paid holidays including the employee’s birthday, and 2-weeks paid time off in the 1st year of employment. Director of Operations: full-time, year-round. Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Director of Operations is primarily responsible to implement strategies to improve front line operations including retail, admissions, food & beverage to support the financial strength and operating efficiency of the organization. The Director of Operations also oversees the maintenance department and the administrative manager. The Director of Operations assists with human resource functions, capital improvement planning, project management, and strategic planning. Compensation starting at an annual salary in the range of $80,000 (DOE) with free on-site, bunk style housing included for the first 6-months of employment.
