Custodian: Full-time, seasonal. The custodial and grounds team play an integral role in protecting the health of building occupants as well as the animals in our care. They help prevent the spread of illness and infection and ensure a safe and clean environment. Our custodial team must have a positive, professional, and upbeat personality with a desire to maintain high cleanliness standards. The custodian position is one where responsibilities and duties can change day-to-day, while also needing to complete regular assignments, so multi-tasking and adapting to change are critical. Ideal candidates would arrive on time for scheduled shifts, happily greet and attend to customers, maintain restrooms, promote proper trash disposal and recycling habits, assist with event set up, patrol outdoor walkways and parking lots for trash, sweeping and shoveling boardwalks, and support other departments if necessary. We are looking for a dependable, cheerful team player.  Wage is $20 per hour, DOE. Applications will be accepted and reviewed until the position is filled. Seasonal Admissions Clerks: Full-time, Seasonal. Roles available for April 12, 2026 – October 03, 2026; April 26, 2026 – October 17, 2026; and May 10, 2026 – October 31, 2026. This position is responsible for daily transactions for AWCC visitors in the ticket booth. Admissions duties include greeting visitors, correctly inputting daily transactions of individuals, commercial tour operators, cash handling, daily cleaning tasks, operating gates, handling high volume of guests, relaying rules and regulations of facility to all guests and special event participants. Seasonal Retail Clerk: Full-time, Summer Seasonal: generally Mid-April through Mid-August. Potential to stay on staff through the end of October. The seasonal retail clerk position is responsible for daily transactions for AWCC visitors in the gift shop. Retail duties include but are not limited to greeting visitors, entering customer purchases in POS, cash handling, daily cleaning, handling a high volume of guests, restocking merchandise, price tagging inventory, and answering guests’ questions, and other tasks as assigned. Assistant Curator-Training Lead: Full-time year-round. As a member of the animal care team, the Assistant Curator–Training Lead reports to the Animal Curator and assists with tasks requiring specialized skills related to the care, maintenance, and training of the animal collection and exhibit facilities at the sanctuary. Wage starts at $65-70k/Yr DOE with a variety of benefits offered to full-time staff, including health, dental, optical, paid time off benefits up to two (2) weeks in first year, annual sick leave, 403b retirement plan with a 5% match after 1-year of service, and 12-paid holidays including the employee’s birthday.
