Paint an Antler is back and better than ever – express your creativity, support Alaska’s wildlife, and take home a souvenir unlike any other!
Every year our hoofstock shed their antlers, we gather them up, and we invite YOU to the AWCC to paint them!
What you need to know: your ticket includes all painting supplies, admission, and of course, your antler. No prior painting experience needed, the event is completely free-form with examples and ideas provided to help you get going. Be sure to wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little paint on. Participants are welcome to bring their own supplies to the event.
This year we are also offering Antler Ornament Cookies as an add-on to Paint An Antler! Sometimes antler sheds are unusable for painting as a whole piece – these antlers get sliced into thin disks that we at the center refer to as “antler cookies”. These make great gifts and keepsakes and offer an additional outlet for your creative genius to express itself! If you’d like to add antler cookies to your experience they will be available for $15 day of.
