Visit the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center on a Saturday in December (through December 23) to see if you can spot the Grinch on property!
Who is the Grinch? The Grinch is the character from Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, a 1966 television special. It is based on the 1957 children’s book of the same name by Dr. Seuss. The Grinch, a cranky, solitary creature who attempts to thwart the public’s Christmas plans by stealing Christmas gifts and decorations from the homes of the nearby town of Whoville on Christmas Eve. Miraculously, the Grinch realizes that Christmas is not all about money and presents.
