Blue skies. Golden sun. Green grass. Fireweed.

Who doesn’t love summer? I know our animals love rolling in the grass and mud, trudging through the ponds and creeks, and smelling the fresh mountain breeze. Sure it gets warm, but that’s what the water is for!

Are you interested in seeing what our animals love most about the summertime? Seeing lynx bathe in the sunlight? Watching moose gallop through the water? Smile when a momma plays with her calf?

Then come on by! Our hours have been extended for the summer season (June to September) from 8 am to 8 pm, 7 days a week! If you come at lunch time, you can learn facts about the animals while watching them be fed.

Beginning June 1st, we will begin offering a special experience, Moose Encounters! This experience will be offered at 10 am, 7 days a week. Tickets for the program can be purchased at the ticket booth or in the gift store.

We also have a great assortment of new merchandise available at the center’s gift shop or online.

And don’t forget to say hi to our black bear cub, Kobuk, on your way out!

We can’t wait to see you this summer! Safe travels on your summer adventures.

New tour announcement! We are excited to launch the Naturalist Guided Walking Tour, with 2 departures daily. This tour may also be booked last minute. Learn More HERE, or book HERE.
