Wolf Awareness Week Celebration

Join AWCC staff to celebrate this amazing species and learn about wolf adaptations and the role that wolves play in their native ecosystems. This fun filled day will include wolf themed crafts and activities, a Naturalist wolf talk, and special wolf enrichment.

Wolf Activities & Crafts 11AM – 2PM

  • Location: Bison Hall
  • Explore real and replica wolf biofacts (furs, tracks, skulls, etc.) to learn how wolves have uniquely adapted to thrive in their environment.
  • All supplies will be provided to create wolf themed crafts.

Wolf Naturalist Talk & Enrichment Toss 1:00PM

  • Location: Wolf Habitat
  • Join a Naturalist at the wolf habitat for a talk all about the wolves.
  • This talk will last about 15 minutes followed by an enrichment demonstration.

Fun Fact: Alaska is the only state that has never had gray wolves listed as an endangered or extinct species.
