Summer Hummingbird Days 2025

SAVE THE DATE! The Summer Hummingbird Event will be on Saturday, May 31, 2025.

Annual Summer Hummingbird Days at AWCC is a partnership program with U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS). Highlights include live hummingbird banding demonstrations, natural history talks, discussions about pollinators and plants, educational activities for the whole family, information about setting up hummingbird feeders and pollinator gardens in Alaska, Facebook live for those who cannot attend in person, door prizes, and more!

9am – 10am Banding Demonstrations
Banding Demos will continue between scheduled talks through 2:00pm

11:00 am Hummingbirds and Climate Change
12:00am Hummingbirds and Other Pollinators of Alaska
1:00pm Studying Hummingbirds with New Technology
