Paint an Antler 2025

March 9 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

Come express your creative side at AWCC on Sunday, March 9, 2025, where an antler from one of AWCC’s resident animals is your canvas.

Every year, antlered animals shed their old antlers and grow new ones in the summer. We collect them, and now we invite you to paint one on Sunday, March 9, 2025, from 11AM – 2PM. This event is a free-form style of painting. A variety of designs will be available for inspiration or go with your own unique style. All supplies, antlers to keep, and entrance fees for up to 4 guests per antler are included in the cost. Space is limited and this event always sells out!

11 Ticket Variations Available: 1 Pair of Sitka Deer Match Set Antlers, 6 Reindeer Antlers, and 4 Elk Antlers. Antler sizes range from 9″ to 40″, and pricing will start at $175.

Antler Cookies: 40 Antler Cookies are also available (to those who have purchased an antler) to paint during the event! Antlers are naturally shed from moose, elk, reindeer, caribou, and Sitka deer, and we use some of these antlers to slice into thin disks that we call antler “cookies.” Painted antler cookies make great gifts and keepsakes. Add-on antler cookies at checkout.

Antlers & Veterinary Care: Some of the antlers have a clean-cut end. Antlers can serve many purposes for an animal. One such use is sparring between males during the rut or mating season. To remove the risk of injuries from sparring, we often remove the antlers after they’ve finished growing. This does not hurt the animal and is done while the animal is sedated under the care of our veterinary team. Some antlers have been collected after this process and others have been shed naturally.
