Brown Bear vs. Dumpster 2.0

Get ready for round two! Our AWCC brown bears are stepping up to the challenge once again — this time to test a brand-new bear-resistant dumpster designed by students from Kodiak, Alaska.
In partnership with the Alaska Department of Fish & Game, this exciting event will put the students’ design to the ultimate test: can it withstand the strength and curiosity of a brown bear?
Each year, students engineer creative mechanisms with the goal of meeting official “bear-proof” standards. It’s an amazing hands-on way to combine education, innovation, and wildlife conservation.
