What an incredible day at AWCC! Thank you to everyone who joined us for our annual Big Bears Big Veggies event. Our brown bears enjoyed a feast of oversized cabbages, pumpkins, carrots, and more—generously donated by the Alaska State Fair after their giant vegetable competition. We also had some donations from local supporters!

Visitors got to watch the bears crunch, smash, and savor these massive veggies while learning about bear diets, natural behaviors, and the important role food plays in preparing for winter. Check out this bucket cam footage to catch the highlights!
