This partnership underscores the importance of both tourism and environmental stewardship, helping ensure future generations can continue to experience Alaska’s wildlife and natural beauty.

Visit Anchorage is a tourism organization that has represented Anchorage and surrounding areas since 1975. It aims to drive economic, social, and environment benefits for residents, businesses, and visitors by promoting tourism. 2025 marks a huge milestone for Visit Anchorage: their 50th anniversary!

Recently, Visit Anchorage has released a series of videos that showcase Anchorage in its truest form, capturing the essence of the city’s vibrant culture, stunning landscapes, and unique attractions. The Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center is honored to have been selected for a feature in this exciting series for the section, “Anchorage is Wild,”

In the video, Sarah Howard, Executive Director of AWCC, takes viewers on a journey through the center, sharing insights into the organization’s mission, conservation efforts, and the important role it plays in protecting Alaska’s wildlife. The video not only highlights the incredible animals housed at the center but also demonstrates how AWCC works hand-in-hand with Visit Anchorage to promote both tourism and environmental stewardship.

The other videos in the series also play a key role in showcasing what truly makes Anchorage a unique and special destination. Each video highlights different aspects of the city, from its breathtaking natural landscapes to its vibrant local culture, dynamic outdoor activities, and warm, welcoming community. By featuring local businesses, scenic locations, and unforgettable experiences, Visit Anchorage offers viewers a well-rounded glimpse of life in this Alaskan gem.
